July 25, 2016: GWI Academy Establishes Collaborative Partnership with SERCAP

The purpose of this Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) is to establish a partnership between the Green Water-Infrastructure Academy (GWI Academy), Washington, D.C. and the Southeast Rural Community Assistance Project (SERCAP), Roanoke, Virginia, recognizing the common ground between their respective mission and goals in securing safe water for communities, and that mutual benefit can be derived from professional interaction and co-operative professional collaboration between parties. Both parties regard the following areas of co-operation as desirable and feasible: (1) Co-operation in conducting training programs, short courses, symposia and workshops; (2) Submission of joint GWI Academy- SERCAP proposals to external funding agencies; (3) Establishment of collaborative fellowships and scholarships in mutual areas of interest; (4) Co-operation in research in specified areas of interest e.g. innovative technologies for decentralized and small-scale water infrastructure.
